It works by reducing inflammation and pain in the body. For adults and children aged 12 and older, it is taken as a caplet every 8 to 12 hours while symptoms last, with a starting dose of 1 caplet, and you can take 2 caplets for the first dose if needed, but do not exceed 3 caplets in a 24-hour period. A key warning to keep in mind is that this medication can increase the risk of stomach bleeding, especially if you are over 60 or have a history of stomach problems.
