Antara is a medication used to help lower high triglyceride levels in adults with severe hypertriglyceridemia and to reduce bad cholesterol when other treatments aren't suitable. It works by helping the body break down fats more effectively. You take it as a capsule, usually once a day, starting with a dose of 30 mg or 90 mg, depending on your condition, and the maximum dose is 90 mg daily. It's important to know that Antara should not be used by people with severe kidney problems or active liver disease. Additionally, if you're taking blood thinners like coumarin anticoagulants, be aware that Antara can increase your risk of bleeding.
