Dosage
500 mg as a single dose on Day 1, then 250 mg daily for 4 days for pneumonia. 500 mg once daily for 3 days for sinusitis. 30 mg/kg as a single dose for acute otitis media in children. 10 mg/kg once daily for 3 days for sinusitis in children. 12 mg/kg once daily for 5 days for pharyngitis/tonsillitis in children.
Azithromycin can be taken with or without food.
