Dulaglutide, also known as Trulicity, is a medication used to help manage blood sugar levels in adults and children aged 10 and older with type 2 diabetes. It works by helping your body release more insulin when you need it and reducing the amount of sugar your liver makes. You take it as an injection under the skin once a week, starting at a dose of 0.75 mg, which can be increased to a maximum of 4.5 mg if more control is needed. It's important to know that this medication should not be used if you have a personal or family history of certain thyroid tumors. Additionally, if you're taking insulin or other medications that increase insulin, there may be a risk of low blood sugar, so be sure to discuss this with your healthcare provider.
