Leader Miconazole 3 is a medication used to treat vaginal yeast infections and relieve external itching and irritation caused by these infections. It works by stopping the growth of the yeast that causes the infection. For adults and children aged 12 and older, it is taken as one applicatorful inserted into the vagina at bedtime for three nights in a row, or as a cream applied to the outside of the vagina twice a day for up to seven days as needed. It's important to note that you should not use this medication if you have never had a vaginal yeast infection diagnosed by a doctor. Additionally, if you are taking the blood thinner warfarin, be sure to talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using it, as it may increase the risk of bleeding or bruising.
