Adults and children aged 12 and over should take 2 tablets every 6 hours while symptoms last, but they should not exceed 6 tablets in a 24-hour period or use it for more than 10 days unless directed by a doctor. A key warning is that taking more than 4,000 mg in 24 hours can lead to severe liver damage, especially if combined with other medications containing acetaminophen or if you consume 3 or more alcoholic drinks daily.
