Milk of Magnesia Concentrate is a liquid medication used to relieve heartburn, upset stomach, and occasional constipation. It works by neutralizing stomach acid and drawing water into the intestines to help you have a bowel movement. For adults and children over 12, it can be taken as an antacid at a starting dose of 5 mL (1 teaspoonful) up to a maximum of 20 mL in a day, or as a laxative in doses of 15 to 30 mL, preferably at bedtime, with a full glass of liquid. It's important to avoid using this medication if you have ever had an allergic reaction to it or its ingredients.
