Rexulti is a medication used to help treat major depressive disorder in adults when combined with antidepressants, schizophrenia in adults and teens aged 13 and older, and agitation related to Alzheimer's disease. It works by affecting certain chemicals in the brain that help improve mood and thinking. You take it as a pill once a day, starting with a dose of 0.5 mg or 1 mg, and the maximum dose is 3 mg for depression or agitation, and 4 mg for schizophrenia. It's important to know that Rexulti should not be taken if you have a known allergy to it or its ingredients.
