Thyquidity is a medication used to treat hypothyroidism, which is when your thyroid doesn't produce enough hormones, and it also helps manage certain types of thyroid cancer. It works by providing your body with a synthetic version of the thyroid hormone that helps regulate your metabolism and energy levels. You take it as a daily oral dose, preferably on an empty stomach, with the starting dose typically around 1.6 micrograms per kilogram of body weight, and it can be adjusted based on your response, but doses over 200 micrograms per day are rarely needed. It's important to know that you should not take this medication if you have uncorrected adrenal insufficiency, as it could worsen your condition. Additionally, be cautious about taking it with certain foods or medications that can interfere with its absorption, such as soy products, which should be taken at least four hours apart from the medication.
