Walgreens Headache Relief Extra Strength is a medication that temporarily helps relieve minor aches and pains, including headaches, colds, arthritis, muscular aches, toothaches, and menstrual cramps. It works by reducing pain and inflammation in the body. For adults and children aged 12 and over, it is taken as 2 geltabs every 6 hours, but you should not take more than 8 geltabs in a 24-hour period. One important warning is that it contains acetaminophen, which can cause severe liver damage if you exceed the maximum dose or drink three or more alcoholic beverages daily while using it. Additionally, children and teenagers recovering from chickenpox or flu-like symptoms should not use this product due to the risk of Reye's syndrome.
