Zinc is a medication that helps prevent and treat diaper rash by protecting and soothing irritated skin. It works by forming a barrier on the skin to keep moisture away and promote healing. To use it, apply a generous amount to your baby's bottom with each diaper change, especially at bedtime or when wetness might be prolonged. Be careful to avoid getting it in your baby's eyes, and if that happens, rinse thoroughly with water. Additionally, if your baby has an allergy to almonds, they should not use this product.
