Cetirizine

Cetirizine is a medication that helps relieve symptoms from hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies, such as a runny nose, sneezing, and itchy, watery eyes. It works by blocking certain natural substances in the body that cause these allergy symptoms. You can take it as a chewable tablet, with the starting dose for children aged 2 to under 6 being one tablet (2.5 mg) once daily, which can be increased to a maximum of two tablets (5 mg) once daily if needed. For adults and children 6 years and older, the starting dose is two tablets (5 mg) once daily, with a maximum of four tablets (10 mg) in 24 hours. It's important to avoid using this medication if you have ever had an allergic reaction to it or any of its ingredients, and if you have liver or kidney disease, you should consult a doctor for the right dose.
