Cosopt is a medication used to lower eye pressure in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who do not respond well to beta-blockers. It works by reducing the amount of fluid produced in the eye, which helps decrease pressure and protect the optic nerve. You take it as one drop in the affected eye(s) two times a day. It's important to know that Cosopt should not be used if you have asthma or severe breathing problems. If you're using other eye drops, make sure to wait at least five minutes between using them.
