View full FDA label ↗Zepbound is a medication used to help adults with obesity or overweight manage their weight alongside a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. It works by affecting hormones in the body that help control appetite and food intake, which can lead to weight loss. You start with an injection of 2.5 mg once a week for the first four weeks, and then the dose can be increased to a maximum of 15 mg once a week, depending on how well you tolerate it. It's important to know that Zepbound should not be used if you have a personal or family history of certain thyroid cancers. Additionally, it may affect how well other medications, especially oral ones, are absorbed, so be sure to talk to your doctor about any other medications you are taking.
